Today we started work on Procedural Writing which will help us learn how to read and write instructional texts. We began by watching a video about how to play hopscotch. We talked about the different ways to set out the grid and about the rules of play. Thankfully it stayed dry for us to gather our chalk and stones and go outside to have a go at following the instructions. We worked in our house colours. We found some challenges in drawing the grid, especially getting the size right but they looked good. Playing the game was fun and we remembered most of the rules from the video. We thought that some written down rules would have been helpful. We hope you enjoy looking at our photos from today.
