Well done to all the boys and girls of St. Mary’s who celebrated World Book Day yesterday!
The school was alive with exciting activities centred around stories and books. Many children came dressed as their favourite characters and lots brought along their favourite books to share with others. It was a wonderful day filled with imagination, creativity and a real love of reading.
We also held a parade on stage for all those who wanted to show off their costumes or books, which was a fantastic highlight of the day.
Finally, congratulations to all the children involved in our Accelerated Reading Programme. Together, they completed and passed 40 quizzes, reaching a World Book Day word count of just under 320,000 words read!
