Today in school we are celebrating World Book Day. A number of our pupils and staff dressed as their favourite book characters. We had Harry Potter's, Alice in Wonderland, fairies and princesses, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, Where's Wally, 101 Dalmations, David Walliam's characters, Roald Dahl characters, Cat in the Hat, Superheroes, Star Wars, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Toy Story, Julia Donaldson characters, witches, Mary Poppins and many other famous characters represented.
Remember the importance of the day is to encourage reading and remember the joy many of our favourite book characters have brought to us all. Pupils will be engaging in various reading related lessons and throughout this month of March we will be encouraging all of our pupils to keep practicing this important and vital skill at every opportunity.
