This week we have been very creative making wonderful landscape collages. We watched a tutorial on BBC Teach and then created our own city & countryside landscapes with various collage materials. We tried to include as many different textures and materials as possible to give our collages depth and tone. We used PVA glue to add the materials which was lots of fun when we couldn't get the cotton wool to come off and had furry fingers!!
More sticky fun making fifteens. We never knew why Fifteens got their name but it soon became clear when we read the recipe. We enjoyed using our rolling pins to break up the biscuits and feeling the sticky texture of the condensed milk and marshmallows.
We have been learning about volume using centimetre cubes to build shapes with specific volumes. Cooper worked very hard to complete challenges to make the shapes connect to make volumes of different sizes.
In ICT we learned how to use JIT software to make stop motion animations. This took a lot of patience as for each tiny movement we had to make a new frame. These short animations had over 50 frames in them!
