P2 had an amazing school trip yesterday and we were blessed with beautiful, warm weather. We met at Portaferry Castle and went on a tour of buildings old and new, in the town. We saw modern and very old buildings made from a variety of materials, built by all kinds of talented tradesmen.
Then we stopped off at Blaneys for a delicious cone and a wee rest. After that we boarded the St Brendan and set off on a voyage of discovery. We were treated to a once in a lifetime display from one of our resident dolphins! Further up the lough we saw seals, lots of sea birds and even a Disney Castle! Then everyone in P2 got an opportunity to captain the ship!
We are especially grateful to Conall’s uncle John who took us on the boat trip and his mum who persuaded him to take us!
