Our new topic for January is Winter. We are learning how our world changes in winter and the kinds of clothes we have to wear to keep us warm when we are outside. For homework we went on a winter walk in our garden and collected some natural winter materials like evergreen leaves and pinecones. We poured water on them in a tub, put them in the freezer and then left them overnight.
Look at the beautiful patterns the ice made! Some people brought theirs into school and we watched how they melted inside, in our warm and cosy classroom.
