The boys and girls were very excited to get back to Nursery on Monday after our Christmas break. We were greeted with frosty weather. We decided to make our own wintery pictures using some snowflake stampers and paint. We also made some snowmen out of play dough. Our Winter role play area was popular with lots of imagination and great discussions on display! At our craft table the children were very creative. They looked closely at pictures and toys and then used paint sticks to draw their own penguins. They also painted their own snowman and gave him buttons, eyes, a nose and a mouth and then added a hat. Their works of art look great up on our wall! We have been busy learning new songs too! Two of our favourites are I’m a Little Snowman and Five Little Snowmen. We have had a great first week of our new school term!
