For our STEM lesson today, we created a baking soda volcano. For Literacy, the children created a series of instructional sentences for us to follow, and we drew pictures on the Interactive Whiteboard. Afterwards, we followed the instructions and the children were able to observe chemical reactions in a fun and engaging way. This project used simple household ingredients to stimulate a volcanic reaction.
