There were volcanic eruptions today in P2 with lots of learning opportunities and fun! The children were excited to witness chemical reactions and make use of all of their senses during the experiment. They gasped with wonder and awe at the bubbling and fizzing of the lava smouldering down the mountain side. There was much joy at seeing simple baking powder and vinegar, enveloped in velvety red food colouring explode and then simmer and thicken to a sludge. We are looking forward to seeing if anything more happens overnight!
