Tuesday 9th June 2020 - Book Balance and Bat and Ball Challenge - Part 1

8th Jun 2020

Before we begin with today's challenge we had a few entries overnight to Mrs Gibson's challenge yesterday. Brooke (P2) and Keelan (P4) absolutely loved the sock challenge! Their Daddy set up the 2metre distance and away they went! Brooke got 5 socks in the container and Keelan 9... Daddy was delighted when he beat Mrs Gibson’s score with 22... to then be told by a very amused Keelan that he gave him 25 seconds on the timer, instead of 20!! 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 Ava (P3) got 9 and Seán (P3) and Leo (Nursery)had great fun completing the challenge with Seán getting 7 into the bucket and Leo got 1. Cobhlaith (Nursery) also had great fun trying and ended up with 6 socks in her basket. Caitlin (P6) got 7 pairs in bucket and Lara (Nursery) got 1. Finally, James’ got 18 in the bucket and he had great fun trying but luckily got a bit of help with the tidying up from his little sister.

Now onto today's challenges. Follow link https://www.stmaryspsportaferry.com/news/tuesday-9th-june-2020/?p=1& to watch. Again very high scores set by Mrs O'Neill and Mrs Birt. First in today was Lily-May (P5) Lily-May had to step in the hoops over the caterpillar and in and out of the footballs while balancing the book and got a few laps completed. On the bat and ball challenge she got 59. Then we had Oscar (P1) who found the balancing very difficult and made an obstacle course spelling out his name. Finally for now Aoibhinn had plenty of laughs completing the Balancing challenge and will be doing the bat and ball challenge later today.

Keep your pictures coming - another update around 4pm.
