Do you have a spare hour each week to help our pupils with their reading? We are looking for volunteers from within our community to help us with a ‘Time to Read’ Programme.
Time to Read is a volunteering initiative organised through Business in the Community (BITC) designed to help improve the literacy skills of primary school children and help them foster a love of reading. It encourages self-confidence and improves social skills.
We are seeking volunteers from within our community to get involved and help assist some of our pupils with reading. Full training will be provided.
As a volunteer you do not have to have a direct association with our school. It can be a parent, grandparent, uncle or aunt, anyone with and anyone without pupils currently within our school.
If you have an hour a week to spare and you think you might be interested contact Mr Gilchrist at pgilchrist570@c2kni.net. Please pass this request onto anyone from outside of our schooling community that you think may be interested.
We require a minimum number of volunteers to make this project viable.
