The School Council have been very busy over the last few weeks. They took delivery of some new fact and fictional reading books from The Travelling Book Company which will dovetail beautifully into our current reading schemes. They also met with members of the Eco-Council to distribute flower pots and seeds so that all pupils and staff can begin to plant flowers, herbs and vegetables both indoors and outdoors at school in Spring. Parents, we will also need your help with our ‘Bucketful of Happiness’ flower bucket challenge next term! Finally this month, as part of ongoing work with the PSG and their funding applications, The School Council have been investigating Outdoor Gym equipment which will be a fantastic addition to our school play areas in the future. The ‘Pupil Voice’ is very active in Saint Mary’s Portaferry and TEAMWORK is definitely the key to all these wonderful things happening for ‘Our School Community’.
