This week the children have been learning about St Brigid as it is her feast day this Sunday. We listened to the story of her cloak and about why she made a cross from rushes. Thank you to Conal and Conall for bringing in some rushes and to Conall’s dad for making crosses for the children in P1. We had lots of volunteers in school today to demonstrate how the crosses are made and you could have heard a pin drop as the Nursery, P1 and P2 children watched in wonder as the cross was made in front of them. What a special day with lovely links to our community and heritage.
