P6 were very privileged to welcome some wonderful visitors to our classroom today, who shared their expertise in making St. Brigid’s crosses.
With their guidance every child had the chance to try creating their own cross, learning not only the technique but also the meaning, skill and tradition behind it.
A huge thank you to our guests for giving up their time and for keeping this important craft and tradition very much alive in Portaferry. Your knowledge, patience and enthusiasm made the experience truly special for our pupils.
