Our school councillors had another very important meeting this week. To begin, Meah and Luis welcomed all present. Then they went over the minutes of the previous meeting with Jack and Lucy as secretaries providing an update on developments to date. The main focus on the agenda this week was the topic of School Council finances. The Treasury team of Aoibhinn and Cillian were delighted to hear that there is £400 in the pot from previous ‘Coin Wars’ fundraising which is to be spent on much needed items for our whole school pupil population. Hannah and Cormac came up with so many ideas. Everything from school stationery supplies to playground equipment, from updating our computers to new IPads, from more board games to helping pay for more school trips! All ideas were noted. The team know that they have to be sensible and responsible in their decision making processes and have been sent off to report back to their classmates and to seek their views on how the money could be spent too.
