Saint Mary’s Magnificent Maths Day

Boys, girls and parents welcome to our ‘Magnificent Maths Day’.

Today we are encouraging you to get involved with all things mathematical, whether that be Maths stories, songs, practical Maths fun, IXL Maths, Mathletics or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) challenges or even investigating a new website or two. From nursery right through to P7 we ensure that our children are given a broad range of mathematical experiences to aid progression through Number, Shape, Problem Solving, Handling Data and Measures.

When in school today our Nursery through to Primary 3 classes will be engaging  in wonderful ‘Maths Fun.’ As part of their remote learning we are encouraging our P4 class to investigate IXL a little further, our P5 and P6  to participate in a range of Mathletics activities and P7 will be given the opportunity to become ‘STEM’ ambassadors for the day!

If you are working from home, log on to your daily class schedule in the ‘Home Learning’ section of the website, have your IXL or Mathletics login codes at the ready and follow the instructions set by your teacher. Try to complete as many activities as you can within your confidence range. We will be monitoring P4-6 online participation on IXL and Mathletics and we will be awarding participants next week.
