We have been learning about Saint Brigid in nursery this week ahead of her feast day on Sunday. We listened to the story of Saint Brigid’s cloak and how it grew and grew with God’s help. We were invited over to Primary One on Friday morning. We were delighted to watch Maureen show us how Saint Brigid’s crosses are made. She used twenty rushes to make one cross. She passed one around for us to see it up close. We got a brand new cross to take back with us. When we got back to nursery, we coloured in our own St. Brigid’s cross to mark the feast day of this special Saint.
