Royal Horticultural Society Award for Specialist Provision 1 and 2

11th Jun 2025

We are delighted to share the wonderful achievements of our children in the Specialist Provision classes, who have dedicated themselves to creating an impressive gardening effort. Throughout the year, they have shown exceptional commitment to learning about nature and biodiversity, growing a variety vegetables, and planting beautiful bedding flowers. In addition, their efforts towards litter picking and recycling have further supported their care for the local community. Their enthusiasm and hard work has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardening Awards, where they proudly earned Levels 1, 2 and 3. As a result of their efforts, the class have been awarded a fantastic selection of books and vouchers, which will be used to buy seeds, expanding their gardening project even further. More importantly, the children have discovered the significance of gardening for enhancing well-being and how these activities can enrich our school curriculum, fostering a deeper connection with the environment. The joy and pride on their faces as they nurtured the garden was truly heartwarming. Our young gardeners have plans to continue their inspiring work and have set their sights on achieving Levels 4 and 5 in the coming weeks. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the growth they’ve shown, both in gardening and personally.
