First Assembly of the New School Year
Today in school we held our first Assembly of this new school year, and what a special moment it was! The hall was filled with smiles, excitement, and a real sense of togetherness as we gathered as one school community.
A particularly joyful part of the morning was welcoming our Primary 1 pupils to their very first assembly. It was lovely to see their bright faces and hear their enthusiastic voices joining in. You are now officially part of our school family, and we’re so glad to have you with us!
We also celebrated our Pupils of the Week, who have made a fantastic start to the year by showing a great example to others and have a positive attitude in everything they do. Huge congratulations to: Oisin (P7) Teagan (Oak), Daniel (P6), Rosa (P5), Lucia (P4), Niamh (P3), Katie (P2), Evie (P1) and Cathal (Ash).
During this first week of school we sent birthday wishes to Tyler (P5), Evie (P1), Jude (P2), Eimear (P1), Cliodhna (P6), Michael (P7) and Aoife (P3). There were also many pupils who celebrated their birthdays over the summer and we wished them all a belated happy birthday.
This year we will be continuing to celebrate with our pupils who have achieved successes outside of school. Today we were notified that Rebecca and Eabha Grace were camogie Stars of the Week and Jessie won a football tournament over the summer holidays. Please do not forget to tell your class teacher if you have achieved anything so as we can celebrate with you.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this first assembly so memorable. Here’s to a year filled with learning, laughter, and lots more moments like this.
