What started as a discussion turned into something we could never have imagined. Our extremely helpful and dedicated Parent’s Support Group came up with an idea to run a team in the Belfast Marathon. Little did they believe they would end up with 66 participants. It was a marvellous and enjoyable experience for all involved. In tandem they raised some funds for the school. The money raised is still being counted and we hope to have a final total soon. However, with such a high turnout the school won 2nd place for the overall participants in a school team. We were only beaten by Belfast High School. Going along tonight to receive their reward from the Belfast Marathon Committee and a £500 cheque for the school are members of our PSG. We are indebted for their continuing efforts and dedication to our school. It is truly valued and appreciated by all members of our schooling community. Well done to all involved.
