Primary 7 Building a Water Filter

In Primary 7 we have been looking at the life of Joseph Bazalgette who designed and built the first water cleaning and sewage system in London that is still used today. We wanted to see how dirty water can be cleaned to make it usable again. We took a plastic bottle, kitchen towel, sand, small stone and large stone to build our water filters. Our challenge was to decide how to build a filter with these materials, construct it and test it by using it to clean dirty water.
