As an ending to their WAU topic P4 visited Portaferry Lifeboat Station where they met Ian, Oliver and Lorraine who are members of the RNLI. The children loved watching the exciting rescue videos, discussing the RNLI puzzles, trying on the RNLI uniforms and getting into the ‘Blue Peter V’ rescue lifeboat. We invited Ian to come to our school in Term 3 to talk to all the classes at assembly about the importance of ‘Water Safety’ and the RNLI.
