For our STEM and WAU lesson, the children explored the world of wind. We discussed wind energy and how it supports sustainability, as well as how renewable wind energy helps the environment. Then we talked about the role wind has when birds are flying. The children loved making their our very own pinwheels, and bringing them outside to have them twirl in the wind. This hands on, sensory experience captivated their imaginations but also deepened their understanding of how things fly.
