This year 10 of our Primary 7 pupils volunteered to take part in the Dream Space Ambassador Programme, an all-Ireland leadership initiative designed to develop ICT, STEM and 21st century learning skills. Throughout the programme, the pupils not only developed their own digital and leadership skills, but also took on the important role of sharing their learning with others across the school. Following their training days, they worked with younger classes to pass on new skills and ideas, and also confidently delivered a whole-school assembly to mark Safer Internet Day.
To finish the programme, the children travelled to W5, where they joined pupils from a number of other schools for an exciting day of hands-on activities. They explored coding through Minecraft Education, created digital pixel art, tackled strategic board games, enjoyed interactive Xbox challenges and programmed Sphero Indi cars.
The day concluded with a special graduation ceremony, where each pupil was proudly presented with their Platinum Award in recognition of their hard work and achievements throughout the programme. We are incredibly proud of all ten pupils for their enthusiasm, leadership and commitment, and for representing our school so brilliantly.
