Last week, we were learning all about measurement, time and rounding. At the end of the lesson, we were sent a very special message from past pupil of St. Mary's (and Olympic athlete) , Ciara Mageean.
After watching one of her 800M races, she challenged us to estimate and measure our own time over 800M. We used a trundle wheel to measure out the distance and a stop watch to time. First place for John Gerard (5:57:36) for the boys and Katie Murray (6:02:34) for the girls.
