As well as some of our pupils dressing up as book characters, for World Book Day, Primary 7 took part in an exciting “Blind Date with a Book” activity, where the theme was never judge a book by its cover. Instead of choosing a story based on the front cover or author, everyone had to pick their book using only the mysterious first line as a clue. The books were carefully wrapped, building suspense and curiosity as pupils read each opening sentence and imagined what the story might be about. There was great excitement as choices were made and the wrapping finally removed, revealing surprises, new genres, and unexpected adventures. P7 loved the challenge, discovering that sometimes the best stories are found when you take a chance!
