Our P6/7 pupils had a wonderful day at the Balmoral Show, where they experienced the very best of farming, food and rural life in Northern Ireland. The children loved seeing a wide variety of animals, including cows, rare breeds, sheep, goats, pigs and magnificent horses. They were fascinated by the sheep shearing demonstrations and thrilled by the exciting show jumping competitions. There was also plenty to explore in the machinery section, where pupils got a close look at impressive tractors and agricultural equipment. A visit to the food stalls gave everyone the chance to discover delicious local produce and learn more about the importance of supporting Northern Ireland’s farmers and food producers. It was an enjoyable and educational day filled with fun, discovery and memorable experiences.
