Another set of multi-sensory Maths lessons for P4, this time based on the ‘real life’ skill of telling the time. From recognising and naming the numbers on the face of a clock, working on o’clock, half past and quarter past, discussions on before and after to five minute intervals, duration, sequencing days, months and calendar work, it sure has been busy and very active in class.
Parents, did you know that Mathletics holds many activities, videos and downloadable workbooks on ‘Time’, should your child need support or an extra challenge in this area? They can be found in the ‘Resources’ section (see photos below). P4 children, please try to work on Mathletics tasks at home, a few times a week in preparation for December assessments.
Also, a little bird told Mrs O’Neill that Christmas lists are being drawn up and that a little, inexpensive wrist watch with hands would be a great addition!🎅🏽
