P4 Term 3 Fun!🌟🌻
P4 arrived back to school after the Easter break full of enthusiasm and excitement for Term 3.
In preparation for Term 3 computerised assessments, the children have been revising lots of topics; dealing with larger numbers up to a thousand, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They also logged on to Mathletics in school to ‘catch up’ on tasks and revisit Shape & Space, Measuring, Time, Number Partitioning, Word Problems and Data Handling. These areas are all included in the assessments. We ask for continued parental support with all areas.
For Literacy, work continued on Accelerated Reader comprehension quizzes, linguistic phonics and revision on sentence construction, punctuation and grammar.
The class began their daily visits to the chapel in preparation for First Holy Communion. It is very important that parents continue to help their children to learn the prayers and responses which have been sent home. The class enjoyed working on their ‘Called to His Supper’ booklets this week too.
Outdoor learning has taken the form of examining and tending to our plants and vegetables. Some vegetable plants have already made it to the outdoor classroom and some are continuing to enjoy the sunshine coming in through the windows of our resource area. Finally, the children enjoyed their Daily Mile, some tree climbing and especially rolling down hills for some great, gross motor development fun.
Well done P4!🌟
