Primary Four have been working out and limbering up in support of their aptly named ‘Fantastic 4 Runners’ PSG & Friends of Saint Mary's relay team who are taking part in the Belfast Marathon this weekend.
The boys and girls chose the name ‘Fantastic 4 Runners’ to reflect their year 4 status and also because they have been reading a lot of the Marvel Heroes series and Fantastic Four books in class in recent times.
They discussed the qualities that it takes to become a marathon runner and like the Marvel Heroes, they think that their marathon team is strong, energetic, brave, resilient and know how to help others. These are qualities which the P4 pupils are also being encouraged to continue to develop through their 'Big Life Journal' wellbeing activities.
P4 wish their team all the best for their marathon run and hope that everyone enjoys the photos below as much as the children, Mrs O’Neill and Shena did when they put them together.
