P4 Recent Achievements!🌟
A huge 'Well done' to everyone in P4 who has been working so hard in class and at home to achieve their targets. A special mention to our Digital Leaders; Eoghan and Aodhan who took part in a very important ICT misson today, to Lucia and Maol who were part of our award winning Eco-Council, Evie the P4 Anti-Bullying Ambassador, as well as Rebecca and Leo who worked so well on this year’s Student Council. Belated congratulations to Maol who received his 50,000 word count certificate for Accelerated Reader but was absent at the presentation last week when Nancy, Aodhan, Eoghan and Leo received their AR certificates. Congratulations also to Isla-Rose who was ‘Camogie Player of the Week’.
P4 have been very busy revising important Maths topics this week using many manipulatives, mental maths strategies, text books, workbooks, Dynamo Maths and Mathletics as they covered and revisited an array of end of year topics including Number, Shape, Symmetry, Time and Data Handling. They especially enjoyed using 'Rainforest Maths' from Mathletics. P4 parents, please encourage your child to log onto 'Rainforest Maths' and investigate the topics in it during June and over the summer holidays in preparation for Key Stage 2.
All of the P4 boys and girls have been working through their World Wildlife Trust ‘30 Days Wild’ challenges and are well on their way to achieving their '30 Days Wild Passports' which will help them to become even more aware of the importance of looking after the environment as well as the creatures and plants which live in it. They really enjoyed using the WWT website and researching on the c2k News Desk. Brilliant work as always P4. Mrs O'Neill and Shena are so proud of you all. Good luck for Sports Day! 🌟
