It is that time of the year when the boys and girls are revisiting and revising lots of Numeracy and Literacy topics in preparation for upcoming computerised assessment. Each child has their specific Mathletics tasks assigned to them to work on at home and in school and if complete they can continue with ‘Explore’ or ‘Rainforest Maths’ on the program to help with concept, skills development and ultimately work on areas for assessment.
Spellings this week continued with work on the ‘h/wh’ sound and on a ‘h/wh’ scaffolded text piece too. Comprehensions tied in with their WAU topic ‘Bugs and Beasts’. They enjoyed researching and reading about ‘Butterflies’ on the c2k Newsdesk.
With the lovely weather, the children thoroughly enjoyed their ‘Daily Mile’ and all the preparations for First Holy Communion this week. Well done everyone and keep up the great work.🌟
