As we approach mid-term, P4 have been very busy revising all their Times Tables for Numeracy and working on comprehension and spelling skills for Literacy. The class really enjoyed computer-based learning this half term as they learned how to access ‘Accelerated Reader’ and continued earning lots of certificates for Mathletics. This week, the boys and girls also celebrated ‘Internet Safety Day’ and had plenty of discussions on age appropriate games and apps. They found out about Internet Safety strategies on the c2k Newsdesk and produced some superb Internet Safety posters.
During WAU, some of the children showed great teamwork as they found and read lots of books which mentioned ‘Castles’ and built a wonderful Lego castle together. Mrs O’Neill was delighted when the boys and girls worked on beautiful P4 ‘Teamwork Hearts’. Keep up the fantastic work P4 and don’t forget that Portaferry Library will continue to be open over mid-term and that Mathletics will continue to be available for all.
