P4 Loving Learning!🌟
Primary Four returned to class after the Easter break full of enthusiasm for their learning. They started their new book study with a classic from Roald Dahl; ‘James and the Giant Peach’. This book will aid the development of so many Literacy skills and also fits in well with their new ‘Gardening’ WAU topic. Phonics has been about the j sound made using j, g, ge and dge and then the m sound made using m, mm, mb, lm and mn. There are quite a few tricky silent letters in these word groups.
Numeracy has been about connecting division to fractions and vice versa as well as lots of revision of all Maths topics in anticipation of upcoming computerised assessments. There is no better way to revise for computerised assessments than by completing tasks and activities on Mathletics at home in the lead up to them.
First Holy Communion preparations are well underway in P4 too. Parents, it is important that your child knows how to bless him/herself properly, knows the mass responses and prayers before and after Communion which have been sent home. Great work P4!🌟
