P4 Eco-Schools ‘Transport’ topic🏃🏻‍♂️🚴🚗

20th May 2026

As part of the Eco-Council’s ‘Transport’ initiative for Term 3, the P4 children took part in discussions about the many forms of transport which they use on a daily basis and those which they are aware of in larger towns and cities. The children discussed the need for energy sources, types of fuel available and how some fuels are more sustainable and even better for the environment and your health than others. Many of the P4 children could see the benefits of walking, cycling, rollerskating, car pooling and using public transport as often as possible. They also agreed that getting out into the fresh air has real benefits for their mental and physical health.
