P4 Cross Curricular Learning๐๐ธ๐
The Primary Four classroom has been buzzing with cross-curricular learning in recent days. From the children reading, discussing and illustrating Literacy work based on ‘James and the Giant Peach’ by Roald Dahl to them researching the minibeasts within it and making their own 3d STEM minibeasts as well as enjoying some quiet, inclusive craft work too.
The P4 Gardening Gang have also been keeping a close eye on their plants as they grow stronger helped by warm sunshine, good soil and daily watering. The tomato, onion, bean and radish seeds which were planted a few weeks ago have sprouted and are doing so well. The class are looking forward to receiving their 30 Days Wild, Wildlife Trust passport as they embark on their ‘30 Days Wild’ challenge to coincide with their WAU topic.
Lots of mental maths revision has been happening too with ‘quick fire’ work on multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, halves, quarters, time, measures, charts and larger numbers work. Parents, please ensure that your child continues to log on to Mathletics a few times a week to consolidate topics.
Keep up the fantastic work at home and in school P4!๐
