P4 Celebration Day!🌟
As a reward for working so hard for their First Holy Communion, P4 had a Celebration Day inside and outside class today. They chatted about their lovely Holy Communion Day, Sunday mass, shared some gifts and enjoyed their beautiful cake and treats together. Thank you to all who made their day so special!
Recently, P4 also launched their ‘30 Days Wild’ challenge as they continue to explore lots of outdoor learning from checking on the progress of their peas, beans and sunflowers to searching for lots of birds, beasts and bugs in their local area. The aim of this project is to get children out and about in their environment to learn about nature and get fit both at home and in school.
As Sports Day will soon be upon us, P4 took the opportunity to work on some of their skills today. Sprints and sack races remain the same as last year albeit running or jumping a longer distance. New skills for P4 this year will be the basketball shot, football shot and hurley shot all focusing on target work so keep working on these at home too.
Mathletics ‘Skill Quests’ have been highlighted as part of revision work in May-June and throughout the summer months. It is important that P4 pupils continue to log on to these with a parent, a few times a week in preparation for assessments and Key Stage Two.
Finally, a reminder that P4 have two upcoming Shared Education trips to look forward to in May and June. The first is a trip to the soccer stadium in Belfast for another day of health and wellbeing activities on Thur 29th May. The final trip will be to 'We are Vertigo' on Tue 3rd June for lots of fun and friendships!
