Over the last few weeks our P4 class have been busy planning and researching for our Shared Education Outdoor Mosaic Project with Portavogie Primary School. We learned about famous artists like Antonio Gaudi from Spain and Hokusai from Japan. We also took inspiration from our own local areas of natural beauty and based our work on meaningful scenes and images. We discussed, created, problem solved and presented the most amazing masterpieces. We had great fun chatting, sharing and playing with our friends throughout the whole process. Our mosaics need a few finishing touches so that they will be fully waterproof and then they will be unveiled at a special event. We know that they will definitely enhance our outdoor learning spaces and areas. Thank you so much to Judith our facilitating artist and to all our teachers and assistants from both schools. It’s been amazing! We are sure that you will be impressed too and will enjoy our beautiful outdoor mosaics for many years into the future.
