AS part of our Transport topic, today we made our own helicopters. It didn't take long to follow the instructions for cutting and folding and adding a paper clip and then we were able to try them out. We had a go standing on a classroom chair (sorry Mr Gilchrist!) and they all worked but we wanted to get higher up, so we tried them from the stage in the hall. This worked OK but we decided to risk flying them outside. We discovered that we didn't need to be high up outside because the breeze totally took control. It was great fun trying to chase the helicopters and keep them safe - apologies to Fr Feargal for the 3 helicopters he will probably find in his garden.
