After exploring kilograms and litres over the last number of weeks, today was the turn of the metre. We started off by using metre strings to measure different things in the classroom (including ourselves) and working out if they were shorter, longer or about the same as a metre. Then we were lucky enough to have time left to complete the challenge of drawing a fish measuring 1 metre long. It was great fun and we ended up with some very interesting underwater creatures!
