P1 trip to the farm
Our Primary 1 class had a fantastic day out at Streamvale Farm, filled with excitement, discovery, and hands-on learning. I was so proud of how they conducted themselves with excellent manners, good listening, enthusiasm and gentleness. 😊 The children loved meeting and feeding a variety of animals, including pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and goats, and they were especially delighted to gently stroke the soft rabbits and tiny chicks. 🐤🐇 A highlight of the trip was the tractor trailer ride up through the fields, where we saw majestic deer and a Highland cow up close. The children were fascinated to learn that deer naturally shed their antlers each year, and they even had the chance to hold and feel one that had fallen off. 🦌 We also visited donkeys, ponies, and alpacas—thankfully, none of them decided to spit at us! The new born lambs were so cute too! 🐑 Throughout the day, the children learned about life on the farm, including how cows are milked and how that milk is used in everyday products. 🐄 🥛 We finished our wonderful visit with some time to play in the park, rounding off a day full of fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences. Thank you so much to all of the staff at the farm, for making us feel so welcome and helping us to experience so much. ❤️
