P1 and P6 Outdoor Play
As today may be the last of the good weather for a while, P1 decided to take advantage and use our outdoor play resources. ☀️ We were delighted that P6 were able to join us and, oh my days, what fun was had by all! The mud kitchen was a massive hit (mainly with the P6s!) and we were treated to pasta dishes, sloppy joes, chips, soup and stew. 🥞🍟🍔 🥣 There was great teamwork on show, while some children used wheelbarrows and different containers to forage for ingredients and others got to work in the kitchen. 🧑🍳 As well as that, the imagination used by both classes with the different loose parts was amazing. The P6s were kind enough to help the P1s on the monkey bars (I thought Hannah might be stuck there for the weekend!) We saw the influence of The Lion King, as Charlie and Rose created an elephant, a giraffe and a lion. 🦁🦒🐘 They all made great use of all the tubes and plastic sheets, the tyres were fun to roll to each other and Oisin and Kellin loved having the opportunity to hone their soccer skills. ⚽ Apologies in advance for any messy or wet uniforms, and sorry to Michael who bore the brunt of the runaway hose! ❤️
