Our Primary 1 pupils had a wonderful time exploring the play area for the very first time this week! The children were full of excitement as they discovered the joys of sand and water play, building imaginative worlds and practising skills such as cutting. Role play flourished as they took on different characters and scenarios, sparking creativity and collaboration. Who knew there were so many sick babies in Portaferry and thank goodness for the great care of our local doctors! These playful experiences are not only fun but also vital for developing social skills, as the children learn to share, take turns, and communicate with one another. It’s been a fantastic start to their learning through play journey!
