The boys and girls of Primary Five really enjoyed their trip up to the windmill. We used this as a stimulus for our Autumn verse poem. The children worked in pairs and used their senses to record some very detailed descriptions. We tried to incorporate as many of the poetry features as possible into our writing. On return to class, a sample verse was modelled for the children. Each table was then tasked with creating their own verse. The children really enjoyed working collaboratively and Mr Smyth was really impressed with the poem that they created as a class. Great work as always P5!
