This week, we had an amazing time at our very own 'St Mary's Space Hour'. The children from The Meadow's KS1 Class and Primary 2 joined forces for an exciting play-based learning workshop. With seven engaging stations, our young explorers navigated through a variety of fun and educational activities designed just for them. The workshop was a joyful celebration of inclusivity and teamwork. Each station was carefully set up to offer plenty of learning opportunities and connect with our World Around Us curriculum, varying from astronaut role play and a reading area, to small world and LEGO rocket building.
This collaborative session wasn't just about play, but also about learning to communicate, work together, and explore sensory experiences. The children shared smiles and stories, and it was heartwarming to see them helping each other and celebrating their achievements together. We are committed to fostering such inclusive and shared learning experiences, and the 'St Mary's Space Hour' was a wonderful step in this journey. Miss McCarthy and Mrs Dorrian worked really hard on the workshop and the children had a 'blast'.
