Nursery’s Christmas Outing!

10th Dec 2025

Today we started off in the library for a very festive Rhythm and Rhyme session with Louise and Fiona.  They had lots of activities planned for us.  We started off by doing Five Little Elves.  We got instruments to help us sing some songs.  We had to match up Christmas pictures that had got all mixed up.  We listened carefully to some clues and then tried to work out what they were trying to describe. Fiona read us a story called How Many Quacks til Christmas? The ladies had made a fantastic snowman and we all tried to get a snowball in to his mouth!  We finished off by doing the Reindeer Hokey Cokey.  After the library, we used our walking rope and walked down to the square to see the big Christmas tree and the crib, spreading lots of Christmas cheer on the way!  We are all looking forward to visiting the crib again when baby Jesus is there on Christmas Day. We walked on down to Café Therese were we got our snack.  The boys and girls had definitely worked up an appetite at this stage!  We had a lovely morning.  Thank you to Louise and Fiona in the library and Patricia and Kirsty in the café for having us today!  Happy Christmas from all the boys, girls and staff of St. Mary’s Nursery!
