More Active Learning in P4!🌟
What a busy few weeks in Primary Four as the boys and girls took part in ‘The Tallest Tower’ STEM challenge where they showed fantastic planning, follow through, checking and teamwork as they tried various ways to include strong foundations for their very tall towers.
Another practical, active Maths focus towards the end of term took the form of lots of measuring activities using metre sticks, 30cm rulers, measuring tapes, metre strips, half metre and quarter metre strips and then converting centimeters to metres and vice versa.
Literacy took the form of completing the P4 Linguistic Phonics programme this week with the ‘z’, ‘zz’, ‘s’, and ‘se’ sounds which are all very similar.
Comprehension was based on creatures and plants and included a very funny poem and a factual piece about predators, food chains and even parasitic plants!
Grammar work dealt with positional language and prepositions which tied into our PE and 'Crossing the Midline' exercises. Great work as always P4!🌟
