More Active Learning in P4!🌟
What a busy few weeks in Primary Four as the boys and girls took part in ‘The Tallest Tower’ STEM challenge where they showed fantastic planning, follow through, checking and teamwork as they tried various ways to include strong foundations for their towers. The focus for this term was practical measuring activities using metre sticks, 30cm rulers, measuring tapes, metre strips, half metre and quarter metre strips and then converting centimetres to metres and vice versa.
Literacy took the form of completing the P4 Linguistic Phonics programme with the ‘z’, ‘zz’, ‘s’, and ‘se’ sound which are all very similar. Comprehension was based on poetry and extracting information from a factual source while grammar work dealt with positional language and prepositions. Great work as always P4!🌟
