Welcome back everyone to our third term of this academic year and what a different feel we have starting this particular term. I hope and trust that everyone continues to keep safe and well. We noticed this morning that you were all so keen to get started with our on-line learning that you almost crashed the school web-site! Seriously, there was a high volume of people trying to access the site this morning that it was operating very slowly. I hope by now you have been able to get the information you required. If not, it should be a little easier to download now or even tomorrow morning. We also launched our “Make, Bake, Grow and Learn” challenge this morning and we can’t wait to see what you are all busy making. I know I have been very busy at home preparing a vegetable plot in my back garden and hopefully I will be able to show you all the different produce I hope to grow over the next few weeks. Over the Easter holidays I was contacted by a number of pupils and thanks as ever for getting in touch. Unfortunately, we missed a birthday so belated Happy Birthday wishes to Lucas (P2) who was six on Easter Sunday. Jay (P4) and Cahlie (P5) and Harrison (P2) were showing me their talent for art and sent me their lovely posters they created to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Aoibhe (P5) and Bradan (P6) told me all about their egg hunt and egg decorating and Cian (P3) decorated his eggs as NHS Superheroes. Ava (P3) was busy making buns and Charlotte (P6) and Bella Grace (N) were enjoying the great sunny weather. Oscar (P1) had a very busy week, from Schoolwork, to making clay handprints, planting flowers and building a shed with his Daddy! He tells me his mum helped with the painting. Pearse (P6) and Lucas (P2) also got in touch again today to tell me that they were working hard at home. Pearse was also enjoying the outdoors with his brother. Finally Chris (P2) messaged me to say that he has been working away at his school work, making rainbow pictures for the window, going for walks out past school and dressing up to do video call quiz with family members. He told me to say that he is really missing school and all his friends. Regards to all and to your families. Should you require anything or have any questions or queries relating to school life, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Mr Gilchrist
