Message from St Mary’s PSG
As we share our end of term newsletter, the Parents Support Group at St Mary’s Primary School would like to take a moment to sincerely thank our entire school community for the incredible support shown throughout the 2025–2026 academic year.
Thanks to your generosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to give your time, we have had another hugely successful year. From fundraising events such as Cash for Kids, community breakfasts, sponsored walks and coffee mornings, to the Christmas raffle, marathon fundraising and sports day activities, every contribution has made a real difference.
Together, we raised an outstanding total of over £8,300, which has enabled us to invest directly in improving school life for all of our children.
This year, we are especially proud to have helped fund the upgrade of the school’s outdoor play areas, providing new equipment for both KS1 and KS2 pupils to enjoy. These improvements are a lasting legacy of your support and will benefit the children for many years to come.
We are also grateful to all those who volunteered at events, supported initiatives, donated prizes, and took part in fundraising efforts. Your support truly underpins everything we achieve as a group.
We would like to take this opportunity to offer a very special word of thanks to Mrs Sinead Sims, who is stepping down from her role as Chairperson. Sinead’s drive, energy and sheer determination have been at the heart of so much of what the PSG has achieved, and a significant amount of this year’s fundraising success simply would not have been possible without her leadership and commitment. Her dedication to the children and the wider school community has been truly outstanding, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has done.
As we look ahead, we are excited to continue building on this success and making next year even bigger and better for our children.
On behalf of the PSG Committee, thank you once again — we simply could not do it without you.
